Natalie 克拉克 ’23, ’24 MACSL is wrapping up her Randolph College experience by attending the NCAA Career in Sports Forum later this month.

The annual educational program, held in Indianapolis this year, helps student-athletes chart their career paths. She’ll spend three days networking with professionals and exploring potential careers.

NCCA institutions are eligible to nominate up to 5 student-athletes to attend each year, but only 200 individuals are selected.

“I’m excited that this conference is tailored to student-athletes who are passionate about working in sports after college,” 克拉克 said. “It’s a great segue to get into the career of my choice, especially coming out of graduate school.”

克拉克, a member of the women’s basketball team, studied media and culture at Randolph before enrolling in the Master of Arts in Coaching and Sport Leadership program.

“My experience here has provided me with opportunities to excel in my future career endeavors and fulfill my dream of being a collegiate athlete,” she said. “It’s been an enjoyable journey filled with highs and lows that helped shape my story and made me into the person I am today.”

She’d eventually like to go into sports broadcasting or reporting, but isn’t ruling out other opportunities, including working for a professional sports team one day.

“Utilizing both of my degrees allows me to get the best of both worlds,” she said. “I can take what I’ve learned in media studies and coaching and put them together in how they shape and benefit sports culture and society.”
